I was formally trained as a classical double bassist, with extensive training in classical and jazz guitar, music theory, composition and arranging. I have performed in many orchestras across America and Europe, with performances including conductors as Seiji Ozawa, Simon Rattle and Michael Tilson Thomas, and ensembles such as the Boston Symphony, Chautauqua Symphony Orchestra, and San Francisco Symphony. I specialized in the performance of contemporary music and chamber works. Currently I keep around five students in double bass or classical guitar in an effort to continue handing down the exceptional training and education I have received from New England Conservatory (B.Mus. ’93, M.Mus. ’95), and teachers including Don Palma (Orpheus Chamber Orchestra), Lawrence Wolfe (Boston Symphony Orchestra), Stephen Tramontozzi (San Francisco Symphony), Curtis Burris (National Symphony Orchestra), and Cindy Browne (Las Positas College).
