Freshmeat now has a section entirely devoted to Mac OS X. Why, that’s so cool! While there is always plenty of new goodies for Mac users at VersionTracker, having a Mac OS X section on Freshmeat will serve to further promote and expand the wide selection of freeware, Unix-based, and Java-based tools out there available for Mac OS X users.

Announcing Peter James Coffee
Most people love coffee, but my commitment to the bean goes way beyond that. A day without coffee is like….. night. So it is with glorious fanfare and enthusiasm that I cordially announce the completion (or near completion) of the Peter James Coffee website.
Peter James Coffee is a great operation. They have over 70 varieties of coffees that are roasted in small custom batches, including organic and rare private estate varieties, and the taste is the best I’ve experienced. The best part about them is that the prices are incredibly low.
So if you are looking for some unusual variety of coffee, want to get a great tasting roast, or just are a frugal consumer looking to save a few bucks, then check them out.
Edit iPhoto images in Photoshop the quick way
This is a pretty obvious tip, but if you open iPhoto’s preferences, then you can easily set it to open your selected photo directly in an external image editing application such as Photoshop. Just choose iPhoto > Preferences… > Double Clicking Photo Opens Them In: Other, and click the Set button to select your application of choice.
