I just finished reading “Eric Meyer on CSS – Mastering the Language of Web Design”, by Eric Meyer of course. Another excellent geek book, and a great follow-on to Jeffrey Zeldman’s book “Designing with Web Standards” These two should be sold as a boxed set. In this book, Meyer puts forth chapter after chapter of project-based examples; sort of like mini-tutorials. But the whole book reads well and the examples are written clearly and concisely enough that simply reading through with just a bit of visualization one can learn the concepts without having to hammer out each example verbatim. To keep the momentum going, I’ve already pre-ordered my copy of Meyer’s “Cascading Style Sheets: The Definitive Guide, 2nd Edition”.
